An exciting new chocolate bar sure to please sweet-toothed vegans has launched in supermarkets across the UK.

The Cookie Dough block bar, created by dairy-free brand NOMO, is described as being ‘made from the brand’s famous creamy choc which provides a velvety coating around crumbly sweet cookie dough’.

Weighing in at a hefty 150g, the brand says its new bar is ‘made to share’, and should be suitable for most chocolate lovers as it is free from dairy, gluten, egg and nuts.

NOMO’s latest launch follows the huge success of seasonal launches including the NOMO Cookie Dough Reindeer and its Cookie Dough Egg and Bunny combo.

However, the new plant-based treat will be supermarket shelves all-year-round, delighting chocolate fans, and can be found in the free-from aisle of three major stores now, with a fourth to follow.

Shoppers can pick up the treat, which will retail from £3, in Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, and Tesco now. It will launch in Waitrose on July 3.

NOMO is ‘leading vegan chocolate category’

According to NOMO, it is ‘leading the innovation charge in the Free From and Vegan chocolate category’, saying it is ‘now double the size of its nearest competitor’.

NOMO now hopes its latest offering will be a hit not only with fans, but with people who have not yet tried the brand.

In a statement sent to Vegan Food & Living, Jac Tyrrell, Brand Manager for NOMO said: “Cookie dough is a flavour that has been a huge success at Easter and Christmas, so we are delighted to be able to offer it all year-round with our biggest chocolate bar yet.

“It is designed to share and is radically inclusive – being free from dairy, gluten, egg and nuts.

“NOMO is a major innovator within the Free From and Vegan Chocolate category with our newest bar adding to our rapidly expanding range of flavours and formats.

“Our loyal customers know where to find us – but for welcome newcomers enticed by the bar, we can be found in the free from aisle or you can purchase directly through our website!”
