NOMO has debuted a new allergy-friendly chocolate bar designed for children.

The new Crispy Mo chocolate, which is available in two major UK supermarkets, is free-from dairy, gluten, eggs, and nuts.

NOMO says its latest product ‘ensures that every child can enjoy chocolate that is free from their allergy nemesis’.

NOMO chocolate – where to buy

Featuring ‘creamy chocolate and rice crispy pieces’, the new vegan-friendly chocolate bar is available in Sainsbury’s and Morrisons stores nationwide.

NOMO says the chocolate, priced at £0.55 per bar, is ‘perfect for packed lunches, picnics, party bags and after-school treats’.

It has already received a slew of praise online parents, including one mum whose five year old daughter has a milk allergy.

“I just want to share how grateful we are for your brand, [it] used to be so hard to find child friendly chocolates for her but now she has NOMO she can fit in with her peers” she said.

Another added: “My daughter has anaphylaxis to cows’ milk… This is one of the few vegan bars where she doesn’t react as there’s no cross contamination risk.”

‘Commitment to inclusivity’

In a statement sent to Vegan Food & Living, NOMO’s Brand Manager Jac Tyrrell said: “Crispy Mo reflects our commitment to inclusivity, ensuring no child misses out on the taste of chocolate.

“We want to see children with food allergies and intolerances experiencing the same excitement for delicious snacks without having to compromise on taste or safety.

“We’re confident that children – even those without food allergies – will love Little Mo.”
