Major British cheese brand Applewood has launched a mini version of its bestselling cheese in Morrison stores across the UK.
Applewood Vegan Minis, which will be available in the supermarket chain from March 27, mark the brand’s first foray into the dairy-free snack format.
Like Applewood’s vegan cheese block and slices, the minis are fortified with B12 and calcium. They are coconut-based and free from dairy, lactose, soya, gluten and palm oil.
They boast the same flavour as the brand’s other Applewood Vegan formats – block, cheese slices, and grated.

According to Ffion Davies, brand manager for Applewood and Applewood Vegan: “Minis were the only format left for us to launch in and we can’t wait to see what customers think.
“Just in time for spring, the minis will be perfect for lunchboxes and picnics, and they are also the perfect healthy snack.”
The new product follows the brand launching its flagship Applewood Vegan block in October 2019. The smoky vegan cheese, which was a collaboration between Applewood and VBites, launched in Asda, selling out in 40 per cent of stockists on the day of release.
The success of the vegan block prompted a sliced version to become available shortly after and was picked up by other retailers without much hesitation.
Since then, the brand has collaborated with vegan brands to create a cheeseburger pizza, launched a second spicy cheese alternative, and even created a festive vegan cheese board.
