An award-winning free-from confectionery brand has launched a new range of vegan bubble bars in a choice of two flavours.

Moo Free, which has picked up prizes for its dairy-free treats, has created the bubble bars in white and milk chocolate options.

The bars are made from Moo Free’s own chocolate using ethical Rainforest Alliance cocoa from certified farmers.

According to the brand, it was inspired to make the bars due to the popularity of its Moofreesas Bite treats.

The new plant-based options include the Moofreesas bar, featuring milk chocolate filled with crunchy biscuit rice balls.

Alongside it is the Cookie Crunch bar, featuring white chocolate packed with crispy cocoa biscuit rice balls.

Describing the Moofreesas bar, Moo Free said in a statement sent to Vegan Food & Living: “Craving the melt of Maltesers? This new bar is filled with delightfully crispy, gluten free biscuit rice balls that are smothered in high-quality, Rainforest Alliance dairy free milk chocolate. Perfect for snacking on-the-move or devoured in the comfort of your own home. Not for sharing!”

With regards to the Cookie Crunch bar, it added: “[It offers] the perfect balance of creamy white chocolate with a hit of crunch. Made using Moo Free’s award-winning free-from and vegan white chocolate using Rainforest Alliance cocoa, these bars are then filled with crunchy cocoa biscuit rice balls.”

As well as being created with vegans in mind, the treats are also suitable for those with particular food allergies. Like all Moo Free products, they are free from dairy, gluten and soya.

In addition, they are wrapped in sustainable packaging, which is widely recyclable.

The two bars are available now via Sainsburys or direct from Moo Free, with an RRP of £1.20 per 35g bar.

With all the products now available to choose from, it can be hard to know which options are suitable for a plant-based diet. Find out everything you need to know with our guide: is chocolate vegan? What makes chocolate vegan-friendly
