Burger King
Continuing its mission to make its menu 50% plant-based, Burger King has announced the return of a long-awaited favourite – the Ultimate Bean Burger.
According to the brand, the burger is its ‘most requested’ product ever, with thousands of fans taking to social media demanding its return to the menu.
Now back and ‘better than ever, the burger is loaded with black beans, mushrooms, sweet red pepper, and green chilli and is covered with a crunchy tortilla chip crumb.
The veggie burger is served in a light brioche-style bun, topped with American cheese, crispy lettuce, tomatoes, mayo and ketchup. Just make sure you order without cheese to make it vegan.
Burger King’s new plant-based burger is available now in all 510 of its UK restaurants.
Wagamama
Joining wagamama’s impressive vegan menu this Veganuary is an innovative new dish that utilises New York Times’ ‘ingredient of the year’ – lion’s mane mushrooms.
Launching on January 3rd, the lion’s mane ‘steak’ bulgogi features udon noodles, aubergine, and caramelised onion bathed in a delightful sweet and salty amai miso sauce.
The culinary masterpiece is then topped with a meaty smoky lion’s mane mushroom ‘steak’ and generously drizzled with Korean barbecue sauce to make an umami-rich dish that’s delightfully meaty.
The new lion’s mane ‘steak’ bulgogi is available to order now on wagamama’s vegan menu, which is is already 50 per cent vegan!

Krispy Kreme
Giving those with a sweet tooth something to celebrate this Veganuary, Krispy Kreme has launched a two tempting new vegan doughnut flavours – including a vegan revamp of one of the chain’s most popular flavours – Cookies & Kreme.
Registered by the Vegan Society, the new limited-edition Cookie Indulgence range from Krispy Kreme includes Cookies and Kreme and Chocolate Cookie Crunch.
The delectable Cookies and Kreme doughnut is topped with a crunchy cookies and cream frosting while the decadent Chocolate Cookie Crunch is dipped in chocolate icing, topped with cookie crumb and finished with a spiral of frosting and a mini cookie.
You’ll have to be quick if you want to try them as they’re available now for a limited time only (until 28th January 2024) in selected Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrison’s stores as well as service stations and third-party delivery partners UberEats, JustEat and Deliveroo.
Subway
Giving hungry vegans on-the-go a new sandwich to sink their teeth into this Veganuary, a new plant-based option has appeared on Subway’s vegan menu.
The Plant Picante features a hot and spicy plant patty, crispy onions, Sweet Onion and Garlic & Herb sauce and can be ordered with the company’s Vegan CheeZe for a 100% plant-based option.
Although the fan-favourite Meatless Meatball Marinara is yet to make a return, this new option is sure to satisfy peckish plant-based eaters.

VFC
A Veganuary round-up wouldn’t be complete without mentioning VFC – the vegan fried chicken company founded by Veganuary’s own Matthew Glover.
With activism at its heart, VFC is a brand on a mission to save as many chickens as possible and change people’s perception of vegan food.
For Veganuary 2024, VFC has launched a slew of new products including fakeaway ready meals, market-first vegan Chick*n Sausages and a new chilled Chick*n Mince.
Made from pea-protein, the new products are perfect for those looking to eat healthier this January as the new One Bag’s are gluten-free and a great source of fibre.
You can find the VFC One Bag Chick*n Fried Rice in the freezer aisle in Sainsbury’s and Morrisons. The One Bag Chick*n Curry is available to purchase in Morrisons and you’ll find the Chilled Chick*n Sausages and Chilled Chick*n Mince in Asda.
Ben & Jerry’s
Still want ‘S’more’ amazing Veganuary treats? Well Ben & Jerry’s has got just the thing. The brand has launched a tasty new vegan ice cream flavour: Out of this Swirled.
Featuring a burnt sugar ice cream with oat cinnamon cookies and toasted marshmallow caramel swirls, the tempting tub is topped with a soft whip and dairy-free chocolate chunks.
The ice cream is inspired by the classic campfire treat, S’mores, and is ‘the perfect indulgence for a cosy night in’.
The new flavour is available in major UK supermarkets including Tesco, Asda and Sainsburys, Morrisons and Ocado.
Mummy Meegz
Vegan chocolate brand Mummy Meegz is shaking up the scene once again with a brand new vegan chocolate ‘dupe’ – this time of the ever popular Mini Eggs.
Mummy Meegz’ Chickee Eggs consist of creamy ‘m!lk’ chocolate eggs wrapped in a sweet, crunchy shell.
Chickee Eggs are available now from independent and some leading retailers, and can also be bought online.
And they’re not just for Veganuary. These vegan ‘mini eggs’ are expected to stick around for Easter and beyond.
Costa Coffee
Costa is expanding its collaboration with BOSH! This Veganuary, with a range of new and returning plant-based products.
Vegan products launching this January include the new Plant-Based Saucy Chicken Fajita Wrap, and the Plant-Based Smokin’ BBQ Chicken Panini, featuring plant-based chicken in a smoky BBQ sauce, and vegan ‘cheese’ in a stone baked sourdough panini.
Also joining the menu are the Plant-Based Crackin’ Ham and Cheeze Toastie and the Plant-Based Smashin’ Sausage Bap.
But it’s not only savoury products that Costa is launching this Veganuary. A range of delectable new plant-based sweet products have landed on the menu.
These include the new Caramelised Biscuit Rocky Road, Double Chocolate Cookie, and, making an exciting return is the beloved Chocolate and Pecan Slice, made with a tiffin base and enriched with dark chocolate and biscuit pieces – this vegan delight is finished with caramel, more dark chocolate and pecan segments.
LEON
Healthy fast food chain LEON has developed a new menu for 2024, which focuses on ‘gut-healing’ goodness.
The menu features a ‘a line-up of plantilicious dishes that are not only a treat for the taste buds but are a treat for the gut too’, including a rainbow squash salad, and the Golden Glow Dhal.
Also on LEON’s new menu is the Banging Bhaji Wrap – considered ‘Britain’s most loved takeaway’ in wrap format.
Leon’s January Menu launches from January 10th at all LEON Restaurants.
Crosstown
Iconic doughnut shop Crosstown Doughnuts has unleashed three powerful new vegan products for 2024.
New for Veganuary are the Pistachio and Rose Doughnut, and the Coffee, Cardamom, & Coconut Doughnut, available as individual doughnuts or in mixed boxes of twelve or six tasty treats.
Alongside the new doughnuts are the Matcha & Rhubarb Dough Bites – Crosstown’s first ever vegan matcha flavour bake.
The sourdough bites are filled with a rhubarb and strawberry compote, and topped with a matcha green tea glaze. They’re available in a box of fifteen bites.
Walkers
Walkers has been a source of accidentally vegan crisps for some time. Now, the crisp giant is launching three flavours of intentionally vegan crisps for Veganuary.
The Unbelievable! Vegan crisps are limited edition, and promise to allow Veganuary participants to enjoy meaty, cheesy flavours ‘without fear of breaking any resolutions’.
The range features three flavours:
- Unbelievable! Vegan BBQ Pork Ribs Flavour: A vegan version of a popular non-vegan flavour, these crisps are flavoured with sweet, tangy, and smoky barbecue sauce and savoury ‘pork-style’ spices.
- Unbelievable! Vegan Grilled Cheese Toastie Flavour: Intensely cheesy crisps with a buttery, toasty taste reminiscent of a proper cheese toastie.
- Unbelievable! Vegan Flame Grilled Steak Flavour: Anyone who misses meat will be satisfied by these punchy flame-grilled steak crisps – with no milk powder in sight!
The crisps are available in multipacks and share bags in stores nationwide, and each bag also offers the chance to win £2,500.
Galaxy
Galaxy is blessing the supermarket shelves once again with a chocolate bar classic. The brand’s new vegan fruit and nut bar features rich cocoa with a smooth hazelnut paste, studded with raisins and roasted hazelnuts.
The new chocolate treats are available in two sizes: a ‘shareable’ 100g bar, and a 40g bar that’s perfect to pop in your bag or desk drawer for when you need a quick treat.
Galaxy’s Vegan Fruit and Nut bars are available from Morrisons and are dairy-free, gluten-free and registered with The Vegan Society.
Little Moons
Get ready to be refreshed by Little Moons’ latest vegan launch, Blood Orange and Pink Grapefruit Refreshos.
The new ice cream snacks combine sweet and bitter flavours in a zingy sorbet, wrapped in Little Moons’ signature mochi dough.
They’re vegan and gluten-free, and make a great light vegan snack to treat yourself to in January.
Little Moons Blood Orange and Pink Grapefruit Refreshos mochi sorbet will be available in retailers nationwide.
Tesco
Tesco’s Plant Chef range is expanding for Veganuary, with a range of ready meals and freezer foods added to its lineup.
Including comfort food dishes inspired cuisine from Asia and the Americas, the range promised to make plant-based eating ‘easy for all’.
New products include Southern Fried Fillets, Sweet Potato Katsu-style Curry, Mexican Inspired Bean Burgers, and Sweet & Sour No-Chicken and Rice.
Many of the new products have been designed to be quick and easy to cook, making them perfect for mid-week meals and beginner plant-based cooks.
Papa Johns
Popular pizza chain Papa Johns has added plant-based chicken to its menu for Veganuary, and the new protein option can be added across its range of pizzas.
The launch comes as part of Papa Johns’ ‘surprise’ vegan pizza which launched on January 2nd, the Vegan BBQ Chicken Pizza.
The Vegan BBQ Chicken features ‘Sheese’ vegan cheese, mushrooms, onions, and tangy BBQ sauce alongside the newly launched vegan chicken.
This new pizza joins a range of vegan-friendly pizzas and sides already available on the Papa Johns menu, including ‘pepperoni’ pizzas and ‘cheese’ potato tots.
Dunkin’
DUNKIN’ UK has got a treat for vegans this January as it’s launched a trio of tempting doghnuts for those with a sweet tooth.
The coffee and doughnut chain has veganised three of its classic flavours: Original Glazed, Boston Crème, and Strawberry Rainbow.
Priced at £2.35, they’re available now in 30+ DUNKIN’ stores in the UK.
Planted
Think you can’t have a ‘proper’ Chinese fakeaway in Veganuary? Think again!
B Corp certified plant-based pioneer Planted has launched vegan duck-style Hoisin exclusively in Tesco stores nationwide.
Perfect for pancakes, stir fries, bao buns and bowls, these succulent duck-style pieces are made with simple ingredients and are fortified with vitamin B12.
LaVie
French plant-based food brand LaVie is shaking things up once again with the launch of another hyper-realistic vegan meat alternative. This time, the company’s latest innovation comes in the form of vegan ham which is the perfect vegan sandwich filling.
What’s more, La Vie’s Vegan Ham comes in two mouth-watering flavours, regular and smoked, to make lunches interesting.
Made from a blend of pea and soy protein to give them a juicy texture and an impressive protein content of 19.5g per 100g. Plus, they have five times less saturated fat than pork ham making them a great option for those looking for a healthier alternative to ham.
La Vie Vegan Ham is making its debut in the UK market exclusively at Tesco this Veganuary priced at just £3 RRP.
Flying Goose Sriracha
Ballantine’s, the world’s second-largest Scotch whisky, has teamed up with Wu-Tang Clan frontman RZA to launch a tantalising vegan-friendly hot sauce in collaboration with Flying Goose, the original sriracha chilli sauce producer.
Ideal for enhancing vegan dishes this January, the sauce features the fragrant notes of soft red apples, ripe pear, and creamy caramel.
This Ballantine’s x Flying Goose sriracha sauce is limited-edition, so hot sauce fans should check Ballantine’s website for details on drops, or grab a bottle on Amazon while supplies last.
SHICKEN
Family-run startup SHICKEN is expanding its range of Pan-Asian products with the launch of its new Teriyaki Kebab Skewer.
These finger-licking kebabs are crafted with a blend of soya, wheat, and pea proteins to pack them full of plant-based protein.

Chopstix Noodle Bar
Popular Chinese takeaway chain Chopstix is celebrating veganuary with a beefed up new offering.
‘All Leaf, No Beef’ Teriyaki is available in Chopstix stores nationwide from January 9th.
The plant-based beef, produced by Miami Foods, is served with peppers and onions and is coated in Chopstix’ secret recipe sweet Teriyaki sauce.
Tony’s Chocolonely
Ethical chocolatier Tony’s Chocolonely has a treat in store for vegans this Veganuary as its launched two new vegan products: Dark Orange Choco Cookie Littl’ Bits and a Dark Creamy Hazelnut Crunch 51% chocolate bar.
Perfect for snacking on in front of the telly or while you watch a vegan documentary, the Littl’ Bits Littl’ Bits have a chewy, crunchy choco cookie centre wrapped in chunky orange dark chocolate.
For those who are nuts about Tony’s Chocolonely’s super-thick chocolate bars, the new Creamy Hazelnut Crunch bar features creamy dark choc filled with crunchy hazelnut pieces.

Major plant-based players VFC have teamed up plant-based meal kit brand Grubby for an exciting collaboration this Veganuary.
This January, Grubby is offering three three mouth-watering VFC recipes on Grubby’s Veganuary menu made with the brand’s breaded chick*n.
To showcase the brand’s Southern-fried chicken, Grubby and VFC have created a series of takeaway favourites for customers to make at home: Crispy Chicken Burger, Korean Fried Chicken and Chicken Katsu curry.
