This November, World Vegan Day (1st November) and World Vegan Month mark the birth of The Vegan Society.

Whilst the days are getting colder and the nights begin to draw in faster, we’re excited to have something to celebrate and we hope you’ll join us in the festivities!

Our charity turns 77 this year, and our product labelling scheme, the Vegan Trademark, has now registered over 54,000 products.

Since The Vegan Society introduced the Trademark in 1990, we’ve been certifying food, drinks, restaurant dishes, fashion, cosmetics, toiletries, baby care, household supplies, homeware, and more.

Our mission was to help you shop for vegan products and services with ease, and the confidence that we’ve ensured they are not tested on animals and do not contain animal ingredients.

77 years of working towards a kinder world, and 31 years of helping to make shopping simpler for vegans – we’re proud of the work we’ve done but we couldn’t have done it without the vegans long before us, and since, that are helping to make this compassionate lifestyle more accessible and mainstream.

As part of our celebrations, we’ve launched the Vegan and Thriving 77 challenge. It’s a fun and active challenge that will fundraise for The Vegan Society as well as help you improve your health and wellbeing this Autumn.

The challenge you choose is entirely up to you, but it must tie in with the number 77 (think running 77 miles, swimming 77km, completing 77 sit-ups a day…) You can find out more and get involved at vegansociety.com/thriving77challenge.
