Veganuary has unveiled a new ambassador for 2024: artist and author Bimini Bon Boulash.

The initiative – which calls on people to try veganism for January and beyond – says it is ‘thrilled’ to welcome the artist and author to its 2024 campaign.

And Bimini Bon Boulash seems equally thrilled to be involved with the global campaign.

In a statement sent to Vegan Food & Living, they said: “Babes! You know what’s chic right now? Being vegan for January!

“Kindness is in, compassion is sexy and being healthy makes you a hottie. Serve it up for the animals, the planet and our fabulous selves.

“If you’ve ever thought about living it up plant-based, Veganuary is your chance to show the world!”

Speaking about Veganuary’s latest ambassador, International Head of Communications at Veganuary, Toni Vernelli, expressed how excited the organisation is to have Bimini on board.

She said: “Bimini’s vibrant, positive and inclusive attitude aligns completely with Veganuary and we are delighted to have them fronting our 2024 campaign and urging everyone to try vegan this January!”

Veganuary has been phenomenally successful since it started in January 2014, growing steadily in popularity.

From its humble beginnings of just over 3,000 participants in its first year, it grew to 629,000 participants in January 2022.

And while it typically encourages people to give it a go in January, since 2017, Veganuary has also been encouraging people to try vegan for 31 days at other times of the year, so you can actually take part during any month you like.

Although, January remains the flagship month for trying vegan and the month is increasingly recognised as Veganuary.
