This fragrant spiced apple punch, made with cloudy apple juice or traditional apple cider, is a wonderfully warming drink that’s filled with the flavours of autumn.
A steaming travel mug of spiced apple cider is the perfect drink to enjoy at a bonfire night fireworks display or while out trick or treating.
It’s a warm and comforting drink and makes a lovely light alternative to a hot chocolate on a cool, crisp autumn evening.

This recipe is really easy to make. Simply slice up your apples and add all the ingredients to a large pan. Heat gently to infuse your apple drink with the fragrant spices and sweet maple syrup.

- 0.25 0.25 litres pressed, cloudy apple juice or traditional-style apple cider
- 0.25 0.25 crisp apples, cored and sliced
- 0.375 0.375 cinnamon sticks
- 0.375 0.375 star anise
- 1.25 1.25 cloves
- 0.375 0.375 Tbsp maple syrup
- 12.5 12.5 ml brandy (optional)
- a few drops of vegan green food colouring (optional)
- edible glitter (optional)
Method
- Place all the chosen ingredients into a large pan, and warm gently until fragrant.
- Serve in warmed mugs or heat-proof glasses with apple slices in each.
