What ingredients are used in vegan Chinese slaw?

The well-known coleslaw features a mixture of white cabbage, carrots and onion in a tart and creamy mayonnaise-based dressing.

This vegan Chinese slaw recipe builds on the classic vegetable base, adding red cabbage, spring onion, yellow pepper, and spinach for a colourful, flavourful salad.

The dressing for this slaw is light and fresh, rather than the heavy, creamy dressing of traditional coleslaw.

Made with mirin, tamarind, toasted sesame oil and Chinese five spice, this Asian-inspired slaw dressing offers rich, deep flavours with warming notes.
