Burger King has spilled the beans confirming that its ‘most requested’ burger is back just in time for Veganuary.

The iconic Spicy Bean Burger will return to Burger King menus on January 3rd after diehard fans called for its return for years – making it its most requested product ever.

Thousands of fans appealed for the veggie burger’s comeback with “bring beanie back” social posts, and even a signed petition demanding the Bean Burger return to the fast food chain’s menu.

Now, the beloved Spicy Bean Burger is back with a brand new name – Ultimate Bean Burger. According to the brand, the burger is ‘better than ever’ and ‘perfect for Veganuary‘.

Katie Evans from Burger King UK said, “It’s been amazing to see so much love for our Bean Burger, so we’re beyond excited to finally be bringing it back to menus.

“We look forward to seeing old fans and soon-to-be fanatics tuck in and enjoy – all part of our commitment to go 50% meat-free by 2030.”

Burger King Ultimate Bean Burger

One big draw of the Bean Burger is that it is a simple but delicious veggie burger that’s not trying to emulate meat like other popular vegan options at the fast food chain, including the Impossible Whopper and Vegan Royale.

Dawn Carr, from PETA said, “PETA is delighted to support Burger King UK in the launch of its Ultimate Bean burger, an excellent addition to the menu.

“Packed with protein-rich beans, this plant-powered classic has returned to give customers even more options to enjoy.”

The Ultimate Bean Burger patty is loaded with black beans, mushrooms, sweet red pepper, and green chilli and is covered with a crunchy tortilla chip crumb.

The popular veggie burger is served in a light brioche-style bun, topped with American cheese, crispy lettuce, tomatoes, mayo and ketchup.

Burger King offers plant-based mayonnaise, so you’ll only miss out on the cheese when ordering this iconic veggie sandwich as a fully vegan burger.

What’s more, Spicy Bean Burger fans can bag themselves the new Ultimate Bean Burger with a buy-one-get-one-free offer available exclusively via the Burger King app from 5th-8th January 2024.
