Just in time for BBQ season, the infamous Moving Mountains burger that has only been available at restaurants across the country will now be available to purchase for UK customers from Ocado.

Created in 2018, the highly acclaimed burger has been purchased a whopping seven million times from eateries including the Hard Rock Café and Planet Hollywood and for the first time ever will be available to buy from Ocado for home delivery.

The burger will be available from June and be priced at £4.50, it will be on promotion with a 20% discount for £3.60 from July.

The legendary burger took chefs, scientists, and farmers three years to perfect and is made from 100% plant-based ingredients.

The ‘bleeding’ burger also requires less resources to make and generates less greenhouse gasses compared to the production of beef patties. With zero plastic, the burger also contributes to reducing the UK’s growing problem with food waste.

In a statement sent to Vegan Food & Living, Simeon Van der Molen, Founder of Moving Mountains commented: “We are thrilled to now partner with Ocado to make the product available for UK consumers to enjoy in their homes. Home-cooking has never been more important, and we look forward to seeing what incredible serves will be created in kitchens across the country.

“We are passionate about creating food that is sustainable but doesn’t compromise on taste, providing a viable alternative for vegans, vegetarians and meat-eaters alike. Our convenient frozen format will mean more people than ever will be able to enjoy our products.”
