As with the other vegan-friendly bars, the new products will be packaged in a compostable film packaging made from wood fibre that can be composted at home.

Mars Chocolate Drinks & Treats GM Michelle Frost said Mars was “delighted to extend our range to offer more consumers more choice”. According to Frost, the “bright eye-catching packaging creates real on-shelf standout to attract new consumers to the category”.

Mars first debuted its range of vegan and gluten-free chocolate bars in the free-from aisle in November 2019 with three delicious flavours and were the first major milk chocolate brand to launch a vegan alternative.

The entire range including the two new products will be available in Asda from September 21st 2020.
