Vegan protein brownies are a sweet way to fuel your workout with chocolate!

But they’re not just another health food. Their maple syrup-sweetened chocolate flavour makes these a tasty treat too.

Cacao nibs add a satisfying crunch to these vegan protein brownies, while providing some of the health benefits of chocolate.

Which protein powder to use for vegan protein brownies?

We’ve used chocolate pea protein powder for these brownies, but any sweet, plant-based protein powder will work – although it’s best to avoid the clear ones! Protein powders that make a ‘milky’ drink will work best.

For maximum chocolate flavour, you need to choose a chocolate protein powder for this recipe.

Alternatively, if your favourite protein powder isn’t available in chocolate, substitute 30g of protein powder with plain cocoa powder.

Plain, vanilla, or even strawberry flavoured protein powders can complement the chocolate notes of these brownies. Why not experiment with your favourite?
