Hyperrealistic vegan meat brand THIS has expanded its food-to-go range.

The plant-based innovator has partnered with two major UK retailers to provide vegan lunch options for busy commuters on the go.

It follows the launch of the THIS™ Isn’t Chicken & Sweetcorn and THIS™ Isn’t Chicken & Stuffing sandwiches – the brand’s first foray into food to go.

THIS expands vegan range – where to buy

From July 10, THIS™ Isn’t Chicken Korean-Style Noodle Salad and THIS™ Isn’t Chicken & Bacon Pasta Salad will launch into Boots stores nationwide, as part of the brand’s famed Meal Deal offers.

The noodle salad combines udon noodles, crunchy edamame and red cabbage with a Korean-style sauce with gochujang paste and lime. It also features THIS’ award-winning vegan chicken pieces.

Moreover, the THIS™ Isn’t Chicken & Bacon Wrap and THIS™ Isn’t Chicken & Bacon Pasta Salad launched into WHSmith stores across the nation on July 6.

The evolution of vegan meal deals

In a statement sent to Vegan Food & Living, THIS Co-Founder Andy Shovel said: “Gone are the days when the best plant-based option was the hummus and roasted vegetable sandwich.

“Nothing against hummus but at THIS™ we don’t think people should compromise on their lunch options. So, if you want a delicious chicken and bacon wrap or salad, we’ve made it for you.

“We’re stoked to be growing our existing WHSmith range. And, we’re excited to be part of the iconic Boots meal deal.”

‘Really proud’

Nick Ingram of WHSmith Travel said he was ‘really proud’ of the company upping its plant-based offerings.

“I’m delighted to have THIS™ as key Food To Go partners in this journey helping us to signpost the category for busy travel customers,” he added.
