Out shopping and looking for a hot drink and something tasty to eat? You’ll be excited to hear about Costa Coffee’s new vegan Christmas options, including two food items, a new hot drink and some old favourites, too.
There’s no denying that Costa Coffee has become a high street favourite in the UK.
The past few years have seen some exciting new vegan launches at the coffee chain. This includes a vegan whipped cream back in March 2023 – meaning vegans can enjoy a wider range of indulgent hot drinks.
What’s new at Costa Coffee this Christmas?
New for Christmas 2023 is a warming Vegan Turkey and Trimmings Toastie. Made with an irresistible combination of vegan turkey, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce and vegan mayonnaise, it looks absolutely delicious.
And if you have room for vegan dessert or just want something sweet to boost those energy levels, try the brand new Christmas Cake Slice.
This indulgent, traditional fruit cake is layered with marzipan and white icing.
The award-winning, vegan-friendly Mince Tart also makes a reappearance, so you can get all the Christmas feels this festive season. It’s also gluten-free, meaning anyone on a gluten-free vegan diet can enjoy it too.

Cosy festive drinks at Costa Coffee
Ordering vegan-friendly festive drinks at coffee shops can be confusing. However, don’t worry! Costa Coffee’s new vegan Christmas options have it covered.
The new Roasted Hazel Latte can be made vegan by adding plant-based milk and by removing the gold star topping. The same goes for the Roasted Hazel Hot Chocolate. However, if you have food allergies the hot chocolate powder may contain traces of milk.
The ever-popular Gingerbread and Cream Latte is back this Christmas too. Make it vegan by requesting plant-based milk, opting for Light Whip instead of Whipped Cream, and by removing the mini gingerbread man.
Exciting flavours, made vegan!
And as if we weren’t feeling festive enough, there are THREE more flavours of oh-so-Christmasy hot chocolate that vegans can enjoy!
The Black Forest and Cream Hot Chocolate can be made vegan with plant-based milk and Light Whip instead of Whipped Cream. Again, the hot chocolate powder may contain traces of milk.
Terry’s Chocolate Orange Hot Chocolate is vegan if you add plant-based milk and remove the Terry’s chocolate segment on the side (sorry).
And the Inspired by After Eight Hot Chocolate can be veganised by requesting a dairy-free milk and by removing the After Eight chocolate segment on the side (sorry, again). Don’t forget, all Costa Coffee hot chocolates may contain traces of milk.
