The new eco-hotel collection, Heart Core Hotels, has launched its first 100% vegan location Volcano Eco Resort in Hawaii

Newly launched Heart Core Hotels has opened the first 100% vegan hotel in Hawaii.

The idyllic venue, Volcano Eco Retreat, is situated near Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park.

The Volcano Eco Retreat has a strong focus on sustainability and social impact.

From breakfast to amenities, everything at the vegan retreat has been carefully sourced and curated to provide sustainable luxury.

Hawaii’s first vegan hotel

Set on 4 acres of lush rainforest, Hawaii’s first fully vegan hotel is a celebration of all things natural.

Volcano Eco Retreat’s beautiful plant-based breakfast is served with locally grown Kona coffee and macadamia nut milk.

While the food is grown on-site where possible and sourced from local farmers markets.

In addition, the hotel has eliminated single-use plastic from the hotel and hand-out reusable water bottles.

Guests can enjoy the calming facilities including a meditation corner, an eco-path and an outdoor spa.

The retreat also welcomes dogs and even has a “Chief Barketing Officer” Sushi the Chihuahua.

Furthermore, rates start at $295 a night, including breakfast and a welcome cocktail.

“Make the planet a little greener and kinder”

In a statement, Gaby and Tony Aziz, Volcano Eco Retreat Managers explained that although the majority of their guests are non-vegan, everyone enjoyed the abundance of plant-based food that is served.

The managers added: “We’re honoured to be able to inspire travellers to eat outside their comfort zone, showcase the best of local Hawaiian ingredients, and make the planet a little greener and kinder in the process.”

Guests who have stayed at the retreat have praised its efforts in creating a calming oasis that is eco-conscious.

Heart Core Hotels is set to open more vegan retreats in locations such as Mexico and Costa Rica.
