Boots is arguably home to one of the best meal deals in the UK. Whilst the pharmacy chain has had decent vegan options for several years now, Boots is launching a brand new limited edition range of vegan sandwiches for Veganuary 2021.
The new range is entitled ‘Vegan Nation’s Favourites’ and will feature four of the UK’s most popular sandwiches – but 100% plant-based.
The plant-based versions of the nation’s favourite sandwiches are:
- No Tuna & Sweetcorn — chickpeas and soy protein with sweetcorn, vegan mayo and lemon juice, on malted bread.
- No Cheese & Onion — smoky vegan cheese with onions and mustard, on oatmeal bread.
- No Chicken Salad — seasoned wheat gluten and soy pieces with vegan mayo, lemon juice, lettuce, and tomato, on malted bread.
- No Duck & Hoisin — seasoned wheat gluten and soy pieces with hoisin sauce, cucumber, lettuce, and spring onion, in a wheat wrap.

Vegan options at Boots
Boots already have a decent range of vegan options. Last Veganuary, the retailer launched a vegan southern-fried chicken wrap and a vegan cheese and chutney sandwich.
Moreover, last Christmas Boots released two vegan festive sandwiches including a vegan salmon and cream cheese, and a vegan Christmas feast. This festive season, Boots launched a vegan no-turkey feast with flavoured soya protein pieces, cranberry chutney, sage & onion stuffing, spinach, red cabbage and fried onions. In a taste test of Christmas sandwiches across several retailers, The Mirror scored Boots’ vegan offering a 9/10.
With 2021 likely to bring more people back into their offices and in need of on-the-go lunch options, Boots seems like the perfect place to visit for a vegan sarnie.
The new limited-edition sandwiches will be available from the 4th January priced at £3, or £3.39 as part of the Boots meal deal.
