DUNKIN’ UK has announced it is launching a line of vegan doughnuts in time for those participating in Veganuary – and those who fancy a tasty bite of something plant-based.

According to the eatery, its favours are not just suitable for vegans, but are set to ‘make your taste buds dance with joy’.

Among the range are Original Glazed (RRP: £2.35), described by the company as a ‘classic reborn, now completely plant-powered. It’s the OG glaze with a compassionate twist’.

It is accompanied by the Boston Crème (RRP: £2.35).

In a statement sent to Vegan Food & Living, describing the flavour, DUNKIN’ UK says: “Dive into a sea of creamy bliss without a drop of dairy. This Boston Crème, a UK favourite, is flavour-packed adding layers of decadence.”

And finally, the third flavour is the Strawberry Rainbow. “Experience a pop of strawberry goodness in every bite without compromising your vegan values,” says DUNKIN’.

DUNKIN’ and other vegan doughnuts

DUNKIN’ is not the only company to make sure those participating in Veganuary will have something tasty to tuck into.

Among the many companies offering treats in January is Krispy Kreme, and while the brand offers animal-free options all year round, this January it will be offering a special range of flavours for those trying a plant-based diet.

The range of vegan doughnuts, which will be available until January 28, is described by Krispy Kreme as ‘the ideal treat to kick off Veganuary.’

Among the flavours are a revamped version of the fan favourite Cookies & Kreme doughnut, the new Chocolate Cookie Crunch doughnut, and of course, its original flavour ring doughnut.

Describing its new Chocolate Cookie Crunch doughnut (from £2.95), the statement adds: “For those looking for an even more indulgent treat, the new Chocolate Cookie Crunch doughnut has it all – chocolatey icing, cookie crumb toppings, frosting, AND a mini cookie to crown this sweet delight!”

The doughnuts, which are made daily, will be available in Krispy Kreme shops, in selected supermarket cabinets in Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons as well as service stations and third party delivery partners UberEats, JustEat and Deliveroo.
