A vegan Confetti Traybake, which would make the perfect vegan birthday cake, is launching in supermarkets across the UK.
The vegan cake, from the Just Love Food Company, is available in Tesco stores now, and will roll out into Asda outlets this month.
Boasting nine servings, the treat features a vanilla-flavoured traybake cake covered in multi-coloured sugar pieces, hand-finished with piped frosting.
It is free-from artificial colours and flavourings. Made in a nut-free, peanut-free, milk-free factory, the cake is registered with the Vegan Society Trademark.
The launch of the bake coincides with Allergy Awareness Week, which runs from 24-30 April.
According to the brand, all the allergen claims it makes are ‘backed up with the extensive procedures needed to be deliciously inclusive’.

In a statement sent to Vegan Food & Living, the brand said: “Just Love Food Company is the UK’s leading Inclusive Celebration Cake maker known for its allergen-safe vegan and gluten-free cakes.
“It was founded in 2010 by father Mike Woods after his children were diagnosed with life-threatening nut allergies and Mike found it heart-breaking that they could not share the cake at parties.
“Spotting a gap in the market for allergen-free cakes, Just Love is now available nationally and is seeing rising consumer demand in line with the increase in allergies, dietary needs and choices.”
Just Love Food Company’s other bakes, which are available in Asda, include the Enticing Chocolate and Happy Birthday cakes.
The vegan Confetti Traybake cake is available from Tesco stores across the UK now. It costs £6 and is recommended to serve 9 people.
