A new spicy vegan snack has hit the shelves at Morrisons this week.

Flamin’ Hot Wots’inits, created by free-from snacking brand CRAVE, are described by the brand as boasting a ‘well-known flavour and format, but with a CRAVE-worthy twist!’.

The company won Channel 4’s Aldi’s Next Big Thing show last year, and the Wots’inits were developed and unveiled as part of the show. Some might say they were the reason CRAVE won the show.

Although the newly developed snacks weren’t actually available to buy as part of the Aldi promotion at the time, the treats have now been ‘snapped up by Morrisons and are due to hit stores nationwide’.

The latest offering joins CRAVE’s existing vegan snack portfolio, alongside options like Smokey Flavoured Streakers, and Pickled Onion Monster Feet – both of which are currently available via Ocado.

In a statement sent to Vegan Food & Living, Rob Brice, founder of CRAVE, said: “We know our fans were eagerly anticipating the Wots’inits launch since first appearing in the Aldi TV show.

“And we are super pleased to now be able to bring them to the market; a cheeky rival to another Flamin’ Hot crisp snack some may say.

“Morrisons shoppers are in for a treat, as they get to be the first to experience the fiery goodness of Flamin’ Hot Wots’inits.

“And watch this space as they will be hitting up more shelves soon!”

The vegan-friendly snacks are available at Morrisons stores across the UK now, costing £1.90 for an 80g share bag.
