Walkers introduces new vegan range just in time for Veganuary - and it includes a line of meaty and cheesy flavours.

Walkers has introduced a new vegan range just in time for Veganuary – and it includes a line of meaty and cheesy flavours like Grilled Cheese Toastie.

The crisp giant’s new line also includes tempting flavours like Flame Grilled Steak and BBQ Pork Ribs which the brand says taste ‘remarkably like the real deal’.

On top of that, it says the new range is not just designed for vegans, but has also been created to entice veggies and meat-eaters alike.

The timing of the launch has been coordinated to match with Veganuary.

Last year, people participated in 2022, so these limited edition crisps offer an alternative for those worried about missing out on meaty and cheesy flavours.

Walkers: New Veganuary Line

The new range features three vegan flavours including; BBQ Pork Ribs Flavour; Grilled Cheese Toastie Flavour; and Flame Grilled Steak Flavour.

Describing the Unbelievable! Vegan BBQ Pork Ribs Flavour, Walkers says it was ‘inspired by BBQ pork ribs, only this version is vegan’. 

In a statement sent to Vegan Food & Living, it adds: “Each crisp boasts a tantalising combination of sweet, tangy, and smoky barbecue sauce paired with savoury spices, reminiscent of slow-cooked, succulent pork.” 

Meanwhile, its Unbelievable! Vegan Grilled Cheese Toastie Flavour allows diners to ‘dive into the comforting taste of a classic grilled cheese sandwich in crisp form that a whopping 84 per cent say has ‘an authentic cheese flavour.’ 

It adds: “These vegan crisps offer a delightful blend of melted cheese flavour infused with toasty, buttery notes.:”

And finally, its Unbelievable! Vegan Flame Grilled Steak Flavour are described as ‘packing a punch with flavour notes reminiscent of a flame-grilled steak’.

‘You won’t believe they’re vegan’

In its statement, Walkers praised the authenticity of its flavours, recommitting their appeal for vegans and meat eaters-like.

Rachael Smith, Senior Marketing Manager, said: “Walkers Unbelievable! Vegan range of crisps – our latest launch – signals our commitment to continue to offer choice to consumers.

“We always strive to ensure shoppers don’t have to compromise on taste when making a dietary choice. You honestly won’t believe they’re vegan!”

In addition to being available for crisp lovers to munch on today, the Walkers Unbelievable! Vegan range is also offering customers who buy its new range the option to win £2,500 when indulging in any pack of Walkers Unbelievable Vegan crisps.

According to the brand: “Shoppers have a chance to win £2,500 every day when purchasing any qualifying Walkers packs up until the end of February

“The promotion will appear across the new Unbelievable! Vegan range, as well as the Walkers Core, Walkers 45% Less Salt and Walkers Baked ranges.”
