High street bakery Greggs, which has become a favourite among vegans looking for reasonably-priced snacks, has expanded its plant-based offering for Veganuary 2023.
Two sandwiches have been added to the steadily growing Greggs vegan menu, as well as chicken goujons and a soup.
Among the new items are the Vegan Southern Fried Chicken-Free Baguette and Vegan Chicken-Free Goujons, which are in shops nationwide now.
Also available is Greggs’ Warm Winter Vegetable Soup, with the Vegan Chicken-Free Cajun Roll launching on January 7.
The bakery became a firm favourite with many plant-based eaters back in 2019, when it launched its now famous vegan sausage roll.
Since then, it has continued to add animal-free options to its offering, with baked goods, breakfast items, and sweet treats all available.

Greggs takes on the world of vegan chicken
According to Greggs, it has reinvented its Southern Fried Chicken Baguette (from £3.60) which now boasts chicken-free goujons, mature Cheddar vegan cheeZe flavour slices, sliced red onion and chipotle chilli sauce in a baguette.
Its goujons, which are also available to buy separately (from £3.20), are described by the bakery as ‘a taste sensation’, featuring a meat-free nugget coated in lightly spiced southern fried breadcrumbs.
Meanwhile, its new Vegan Cajun Chicken-Free Roll (from £3.05), is packed with chicken-free pieces, fresh salad leaves, chipotle chilli sauce and Cajun spiced mayo in a white and wholemeal roll.
The new options join the existing Greggs’ vegan range, which boasts its iconic Vegan Sausage Roll, the Glazed Ring Doughnut, Sweet Potato and Onion Bhaji Rice Box, Southern Fried Potato Wedges, Vegan Sausage Breakfast Roll and Hash Browns.
