One Planet Pizza has secured a nationwide listing with a major supermarket chain and will launch in Asda stores across the UK.
The UK’s first vegan pizza brand was spearheaded by father and son Mike and Joe back in 2016.
Vegan pizza trial
Following a successful trial in Asda’s first-ever incubator programme, the brand’s Spicy Peppernomi pizza has launched in 400 Asda sites across the UK.
Priced at an RRP of £3.75, the plant-based pizza features a thin and crispy crust, with meat-free pepperoni made from jackfruit.

In a statement sent to Vegan Food & Living, Co-Founder Mike Hill said: “Post-pandemic, consumers are now pushing brands further and demanding products that are both healthier and more sustainable, without compromising on taste and price.
“That’s the kind of challenges we like at One Planet Pizza; we think our pizza deliver on all of these!
“It looks like Asda believes this too and we can’t wait for their customers to try the future of pizza across the UK.”
Carbon labelling
Last year, One Planet Pizza became the first pizza brand in the UK to introduce carbon labelling on its packaging.
The move was part of the company’s mission to become the most ‘sustainable pizza brand on the planet’. It also aims to achieve B Corp status by the end of 2024.
