Häagen-Dazs is launching a new range of plant-based ice creams in Canada.

The frozen desserts, made from oat milk, are vegan certified and locally produced in London Ontario.

Available in most major supermarkets, the new ice creams come in three flavours: Chocolate Peanut Butter, Vanilla Raspberry Truffle, Caramel Fudge Chip.

‘Indulgent flavours’

“We believe that everyone, no matter their dietary preference, should be able to enjoy Häagen-Dazs,” said Nestlé Canada’s Juliane Trenholme.

“Consumers recognise Häagen-Dazs for its creamy texture, simple ingredients and indulgent flavours which is why we created a new plant-based collection.”

Juliane added that the new flavours are aimed at consumers wanting plant-based options ‘without any compromise on texture or taste’.

Which countries sell vegan Häagen-Dazs?

In the US, Häagen-Dazs debuted a range of vegan ice creams back in 2017; flavours included Peanut Butter Chocolate Fudge, Coconut Caramel, Chocolate Salted Fudge Truffle, and Mocha Chocolate Cookie.

Two years later and the premium brand debuted dairy-free chocolate fudge ice-cream bars across the country.

However, none of these products have reached the UK, despite growing demand for cruelty-free ice creams.

When asked on Twitter whether the oat-based range would soon be hitting the UK, the company said there are no current launch plans.
