Ben And Jerry’s has announced its latest new plant-based flavour in time for Veganuary – which it has described as ‘out of this world’.

The new option is called ‘Non-Dairy Oat of This Swirled’.

According to the brand, the flavour was ‘inspired by the all-American campfire favourite, S’mores’.

Ben And Jerry’s adds that its new plant-based ice cream is ‘the perfect indulgence for a cosy night in, no camping out required’.

Describing the flavour, a statement says: “[It features] burnt sugar Non-Dairy ice cream loaded with oat cinnamon cookies and toasty marshmallowy caramel swirls, topped with a soft whipped top and Open Chain chocolatey chunks.”

The sweet new flavour is available from today (January 4) from a number of supermarkets nationwide.

These include Tesco, Asda, Sainsburys and Morrisons, priced from £5.50.

For those who are unable to pick up the pints in store, they can pick them up online from internet retailers Ocado.

The new vegan option comes alongside a non-vegan version of the classic American options, with many expressing their pleasure that the company has accompanied a classic version with a dairy-free one.

One Instagram user wrote of the flavour: “This sounds amazing… So excited you have a vegan version .’

Another agreed, adding: “We love your vegan flavours!.’

And in a similar vein, a third added: “The vegan one sounds amazing.”

Ben And Jerry’s offers a number of dairy-free flavours in countries including the US and the UK  among others.

Among the dairy-free options, flavours are based on options like almond and oat milk.

Writing about the flavours on its website, the company says: “NEW richer-than-ever oat recipe is coming soon to all your favourite Non-Dairy flavours!

“You can still find our almond-based recipes for now, but soon every Non-Dairy flavour will be made with our smoothest, most indulgent recipe yet.

“Our certified vegan Non-Dairy flavours are chock full of the chunks and swirls you love. Look for Non-Dairy versions of our classic ice cream flavours, plus plenty of exciting Non-Dairy exclusives.”
