Popular plant-based Finnish brand Oddlygood, which has a legion of fans across the States and Europe, is launching in UK supermarkets.
Three flavours of its oat-based vegan desserts are now available, with lemon and caramel on shelves in Morrisons, and gingerbread stocked in Tesco stores.
As well as being vegan, the ready-to-eat desserts from Oddlygood are also gluten-free.
The Dreamy Lemon flavour (£1.50 from Morrisons) is described by the brand as ‘fresh with zesty lemon flavours’, aimed at those who enjoy ‘light and tangy’ options.
Described as ‘rich in caramel flavour’ texture, Dreamy Caramel (£1.50 from Morrisons) offers sweet-toothed diners ‘the perfect, velvety smooth late night treat’.
Meanwhile Dreamy Gingerbread (£1.50 from Tesco) ‘provides the perfect balance of spice and creaminess, leaving you feeling sweetly satisfied and wanting more and more’.
The brand recommends eating the puddings as they are, or using them in recipes like trifle, by layering them with baked apples and crunchy biscuit crumbs or granola.
Alternatively, they can be used as an alternative to flavoured quark, and be used in recipes like baked cheesecake.

Oddlygood launches in the UK
In a statement sent to Vegan Food & Living, Nina Gillsvik, Global CMO at Oddlygood, said the brand aimed to offer products that tasted good enough to tempt people away from less ethical or sustainable options.
She explained: “The food we eat is one of the biggest game changers when it comes to both the wellbeing of our planet and our bodies.
“But the world will not change fast enough if good food doesn’t taste good enough.
“That is why we exist to make products with great taste and no compromises. ’Oddly good!’ was the reaction from one foodie when he first tried our oat-based Gurt, so we chose our name as a constant reminder of how surprisingly delicious a plant-based food experience shall be.”
The brand adds that interest in plant-based products is ‘growing at an astonishing rate worldwide’ as consumers seek ethical and sustainable foods which still taste delicious.
