Koko Dairy Free has launched a new speciality vegan milk aimed at children, Kids Free From M!lk.
The coconut milk, which was developed in consultation with dietitians, is aimed at children aged one upwards.
It is low in sugar, contains essential vitamins and minerals, and is free from all 14 major allergens.
According to Koko, which launched in 2010, it was the first UK company to make a coconut-based alternative to dairy milk.
It launched its Koko Growing Up Milk in April 2023, but has renamed the product Kids Free From M!lk, and created new packaging to more clearly convey the age range, allergen safety, and nutritional benefits.
Koko’s Kids Free From M!lk is the only dairy-free milk in the UK which is aimed at children, and is free from all 14 major allergens, including dairy, soya, and oats.
According to the brand, its product was developed to ‘taste similar to dairy milk’, while containing a range of essential vitamins and minerals.
These include vitamins A, B2, B12, C, D2, E. In addition, it is a source of protein, while being low in sugar.

In a statement sent to Vegan Food & Living, Victoria Eadon, Marketing Manager at Koko, said: “With more children than ever experiencing not only cow’s milk protein allergy, but also other common allergies within the major 14, it is an increasing worry for their parents.
“We recognise the importance of being allergen safe and the reassurance that comes with that for parents, which is why we’ve done and will continue to do additional due diligence.
“Alongside our rigorous testing and compliance for allergens, we have packed our Koko Kids M!lk full of vitamins and minerals to ensure children receive similar nutritional benefits and taste of dairy milk, but made with just plants.
“We’re delighted that consumers can now purchase Koko Kids in Boots, a company that shares our values for safety, health and of course, great taste.”
Kids Free From M!lk launched this month, hitting shelves in 264 Boots stores across the UK, as well as being available in Asda, and online via Amazon. It retails from £2.
