A new and exclusive vegan chorizo burger will be launching onto Ocado this spring, the resulting collaboration between plant-based meat company Heura and food influencers BOSH!.

This new product combines the great versatility of the burger patty and the bold flavours of chorizo, minus the meat!

The culinary potential of these new vegan burgers is endless!

You can grill the burgers like a typical patty, break them down into smaller flavourful chunks, or even crumble them into a bigger dish to pack in some extra spice.

Marc Coloma, food activist and Heura co-founder, said: “Bringing healthy, delicious and affordable plant-based foods to the world’s largest dedicated online grocery retailer shows that we can remove animals from the food chain with no compromise in choice.

“Ocado has a progressive customer base, with quality and taste at their hearts – the perfect match for our nutritious, delicious and versatile Chorizo Burger.”

This news comes shortly after Heura announced that more than double the number of households are consuming its plant-based products worldwide.

Heura currently distributes to 20 countries, including Spain, Portugal, France, the Netherlands, the UK, Belgium, Italy, Poland, Sweden, Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Egypt, Canada, Mexico, Chile and more!

We even had a go at making them ourselves! Check out the reel on Instagram to see the dishes we made.

The shared vegan vision of Heura and BOSH!

This product is the latest release from Heura, the fastest-growing plant-based meat company in Europe.

Heura’s mission is to provide meat alternatives to the market to reduce the consumption of animals off the menu for good.

BOSH! are the ideal partners to team up with, as they share the same global mission as Heura: to create a movement that excites, inspires and enables consumers to choose healthier and kinder food.

Bernat Añaños, Heura co-founder, said: “Our community asked – we listened, and we created. The Chorizo Burger is the brainchild of our Heura TechRebels and BOSH.

“Designed to allow consumers to burst with creativity, this product goes beyond standard use. Having an animal meat successor as a versatile ‘ingredient’ is the next step in making it mainstream, and we can’t wait to see what our community and beyond create using this exclusive new product.”

As the alternative meat market is set to continue to boom over the next few years, the timing couldn’t be more perfect to collaborate and launch new exciting products.
